Shapes and wood effect the timbre of the mute
Using woods like mahogany, poplar, teak, maple, african purple heart wood, and many more all effect the sound quality of the mute. Mahogany is my personal favortite.
Classic Mutes
Classic design, even mutage across range of bass. Fits most any bass, keeps articulation and resonance in volume while changing tone color drastically.
Asymmetrical mutes
Asymmetrical mutes allow you to change the muted range of your instrument, depending on what range you want to highlight or mute more.
Other mutes
I make many other mutes with specific sounds in mind, and with different instruments in mind. Each piece is one of a kind and I listen to the grain of the wood, so here are some pieces with different intentions behind them
